Fatigue is a part of his daily routine

“Life can make a person weary and wary, and the body and soul become fatigued. Unalleviated tedium extinguishes the light in the soul.” ― Kilroy J. OldsterDead Toad Scrolls

It was a chilly weekday morning when I looked out my window and saw this gentleman fighting fatigue and trying to stay awake long enough to be the first one in line at the bottle depot located across the street from his spot on the curb. The amount of the goods in the nearby shopping cart and the almost full  orange trash bag indicated that this was the result of a previous day’s forage. He seemed to be an industrious person working hard to earn a living. A tip of the hat to him for his fighting spirit and enterprising drive. – gc

  1. Hey GC, thank you for honoring the people who often go unnoticed, under appreciated, and seldom (if ever) shown respect.

    • You are most welcome. Everyone in life deserves to be in the spotlight now and then. Life is tough. Appreciation slow to arrive. We share the stage of reality with everyone. Have a wonderful day. Take care. 🙂
