These folks pamper their customers

“Sometimes all we need is a little pampering to help us feel better…” ― Charles M. SchulzPeanuts Guide to Life.

We all have the basic need to feel special about ourselves and love it when we are catered to and treated as being special. This need to be pampered and treated as special is not part of the big business marketing plan.To those guys customers are mere numbers and market shares. But if you want to be treated as someone special visit your local framer’s market . The folks manning the booths have no marketing agenda and will treat you with kindness, consideration and courtesy. This is the last bastion in which the customer is still king. — gc

  1. Totally agree with you, Gerry. Samples? Of course. Tips on how to cook? Yup. Customer service? Oh, yes!

    • Their treatment of their customers is honest and sincere and you as a customer always welcomed. And the samples at times are way too much. I have used a number of their recipes. Thanks for commenting. 🙂

  2. I love farmers markets, in fact, I was at one today. The people are so nice and their produce is fresh! Thank you Gerry for acknowledging them. 😃

  3. That’s right! At such a place, its still about relationships and in the commercial world, its about managing customer choices and relationships.
