Downpour did not dampen her spirits

“Never lose hope. Storms make people stronger and never last forever.”  Roy T. BennettThe Light in the Heart

It was the first time in a number of years that this type of indoor-outdoor sale event had been held at this mall location but Katelynd (Katie) Ward (female on left) manager of The Running Room at Collingwood Mall , Edmonton,  had the display set up and felt confident the event would be a success. Mother Nature had her own ideas and around supper time on Thursday evening an unexpected early evening thunder shower forced the display to be temporarily dismantled for the day. I visited her the next day and she said the sale would be continuing until September 3rd.  She was not dismayed by the first day rain out.  A tip of the hat to her for her optimism. —  gc

  1. Brings to mind the line from a song in, I believe it was My Fair Lady … “for I’m only a cock-eyed optimist …” 🙂

  2. Good for Katie, a girl after my own heart. I like the quote you used for this, very apt. Nice one Gerry. 🙂
