The solitary aspects of a foggy day

“To feel free, create a fog around yourself! And how can you do this? Be silent! When you are silent, people will not notice you much! You will be invisible, you will be inside the fog!” ― Mehmet Murat ildan

Have you ever noticed on especially foggy days when your vision is limited and the sun’s warming rays have neither penetrated or dispersed the fog that those objects we normally take for granted and ignored are brought to the foreground for our delight, bemusement and  entertainment. Buildings totally camouflaged by the thick blanket of fog retreat into the background and the unspoiled setting of the scene takes immediate visual precedence. — gc
