Another mooch(er) adorns White House

The same old song

“One of the saddest lessons of history is this: If we’ve been bamboozled long enough, we tend to reject any evidence of the bamboozle. We’re no longer interested in finding out the truth. The bamboozle has captured us. — Carl SaganThe Demon-Haunted World: Science as a Candle in the Dark

A  few months ago I wrote an article about a Star Trek episode in which a fictional character (Bela Oxymyx) chose a 1920’s style Chicago gangland style of running a planet He planned to take over the whole planet with the help of The Federation.

The recent appointment of Anthony Scaramucci ( nicknamed The Mooch) the new White House Communications Director might also involve assuming the added duty of being The Don’s enforcer and front man who will take the political flak and media jibes in exchange for a piece of the pie.

Trump’s recent appointment of this man and other inexperienced folks like him into an off-Broadway play similar to “the musical “Guys and Dolls”.

The pin stripped suits, the clever one liners and the novel choreography and side stepping by the current White House crew indicates once again the some type on real life, hands on political experience is needed to runt he county efficiently and correctly.

The fact that Scaramucci lacks any political experience makes him a welcome adjunct to a governing team replete with almost talented know-it-all hoping to not be ousted for their incompetence.

At least the “Guys and Dolls” routines and dance numbers were entertaining.

The tunes coming out of the White House these days is downright disturbing and unsettling.  — gc
