Nixon – Trump share recording fetish?

“I’m no crook!”

“You must pursue this investigation of Watergate even if it leads to the president. I’m innocent. You’ve got to believe I’m innocent. If you don’t, take my job.”  —   Richard M. Nixon

The video presented here might be offensive to some individuals. It presents the mindset of President Richard Nixon and the “secret recordings” he made while in the White House. The content at times is derogatory, offensive and inflammatory. Trump should be aware that any such recordings he may have made are subject to subpoena and be equally damning.

President Trump is trying desperately to redefine the nature of the Federal Bureau of Investigation.

To the agency members the letters indicate:  Faithful   Bravery   Integrity.

To President Trump’s way of thinking:            Fealty       Beyond    Investigation

According to news accounts the president asked then FBI director James Comey pledge some type of fealty and allegiance to him at that highly secret dinner meeting.

Comey reportedly told him that his allegiance is to the country and not one individuall.

His rejection to comply with this presidential request infuriated Mr T’s sense of importance and self-worth.

The video presented here is one from the Rickard M .Nixon library and shows how his taping fetish really led to his political downfall.

Trump’s tweet’s warning Comey to tread carefully before leaking anything to the news services is being loosely construed as a threat.

The president should review his history lesson on the Nixon Watergate Era and take note of the way Nixon’s over indulgent ego eventually got him ousted from the Oval Office.  –  gc

  1. That’s would’ve require learning something. Reading instead of using Twitter or news broadcasts not under his wing.

  2. He would be wise to take your advice Gerry, but thankfully, he won’t and the evidence needed for his ousting will continue to stack up!

    • I understand that even the possibility of his being impeached is not under consideration. Oh well grin and bare it huh? 🙂

  3. Great pity

  4. Let’s just keep giving him more shovels so he can complete the digging of his own grave.

He is a ‘man’ without conscience and simply cannot be allowed to sit in the Oval Office for a full four years if we have any hope of maintaining the freedoms we have worked so hard for.

    • If James Comey can be ousted from his 10 year stint Trump can be ejected from his throne. A matter of time, patience and for Trump ineptness.

      • Yes, but now we need to think … “what next?”

Pence is not a huge improvement, though I do believe he is of a calmer temperament and therefore less likely to either lead us into a pointless war or keep the nation stirred.

Still, Pence is undoubtedly complicit in the knowledge that Flynn was a security risk from day #1, so perhaps he goes to.

Then what … and it goes on and on.

      • Mike Pence is as innocent in this whole affair as Spiro Agnew was with Nixon. Both men’s hands are covered in scandal implications and unfortunately Pence is the consummate “yes” man who would one for the big guy.

The billionaires and the phony chaos theory advocates should be ousted from the White House and IF tenable the choice for a new president and vice president left to some type of non-political, non- governmental forum that is interested in the welfare and security of the country.

  5. I agree.

Earlier today I was looking at the line of succession in the event we successfully “Dump Trump”, and there are very few that I would want sitting in the Oval Office.

Our government at the moment is truly a ‘den of vipers’!

    • Our own “King Cobra” is currently on his “Muddle East” tour to stir up peace accords and understanding among the politicians, billionaires and squabbling religious factions holding power in those countries.

      • Yes, and I read that Netanyahu had to force his ministers to attend the ceremony when Trump arrives tomorrow, as many were planning to boycott. 🙂

      • All I can say is “oy vey” to that one. I guess Trump feels himself to be a modern day Moses chosen to part the sea of discord in the middle east and by a mere wave of his hand set the world straight.

Take heart. The critics are saying that all the hoopla attached to his visit is nothing more than a dog and pony show. Trump gobbles up the accolades. The taxpayers foot the bill. The trouble in that part of the world remains unscathed.

Do you think he might suggest that a massive wall be built in that country to separate the factions.

That type of architecture could truly be labelled a political “wailing wall”.

Anything is possible with the Trumpster. 🙂
