Easter Bunny “trumps” jolted president

“What a maroon!”

“Years ago my mother used to say to me, she’d say, “In this world, Elwood, you must be oh so smart or oh so pleasant.” Well, for years I was smart. I recommend pleasant. You may quote me.”  — Elwood P. Dowd

Ever notice how life has a way of evening the books on everyone including the high and mighty. It appears that President Trump had a difficult time of sharing the stage with the other big guy at the annual white House lawn egg roll.

Mr T. arrived late for the ceremony, had to be reminded by his wife to place his hand over his heart for the playing of the national anthem and then share the balcony with this fluffy tailed annual celebrity.

Quite the spectacle and the rabbit didn’t care who he shared space with –  gc

  2. Imagine the Pres having to be reminded to place his hand over his heart–and caught on camera, too! She was subtle, but it was duly noted.

  4. A girl asked him to sign his hat (audible on tape), he signs it then he throws it away. You can see the awkward embarrassment on the face of the Secret Serviceman in attendance. He can see the girl’s face. Another hat is found. He signs, again. He throws it away, again.

  5. True, except what’s even more lamentable is his apparent incapacity to conceive the difference between connecting and being connected and couldn’t give a shit about it, anyway.

His election was a masterpiece of social demography and technology; connect with what people want, tell them you will deliver it (couched in ‘twitter language’ they will understand) and get elected. Rudeness becomes a different factor. It’s about human relations and a basic moral value. These are not things Donald Trump, as I understand him, makes any connection with or understanding.

But, let us consider America has designed a political system to curtail extremism and already Trump’s Oval Office backroom wars have appeared to weed out the most extreme ideological influences.

But what has replaced them? The Capitol Hill mafia, old world interests of banking, war and resources. Same old story.
