Earlier this morning while Senator Patrick Leahy, D-Vt. ( left) questioned Supreme Court nominee Judge Neil Gorsuch the eyes of the world focused on the intense situation outside the Parliament Building in London.

An alleged “terrorist” manoeuvred his van into the crowd of people on Westminster Bridge turning the busy Wednesday afternoon into a scene of injured bodies and a confused and anxious public.

The Cable Network News (CNN) cameras and reporting left the hearing room and focused on the disaster in London. Before they did so Leahy insinuated that he suspected that Gorsuch might be a Trojan Horse for the Trump regime.

Leahy stated , ” Stephen Bannon, Reince Priebus and President Trump  promised their donors a nominee who would bring a pro-corporate, socially conservative agenda to the U.S. Supreme Court.”

“Are they speaking for themselves and not for you?” Leahy asked him.

Gorsuch replied: ” No other person speaks for me and I do not speak for them.”

Leahy again asked him: What vision do you share with Donald Trump?”

“I am a judge…I am independent..I make up my own mind” he replied.

Trump stated that Gorsuch and former Supreme Court Antonin Scalia were cut from the same cloth. Scalia died on – Feb 13, 2016 . He was 79 years old.

White House Chief Strategist Stephen Bannon strongly advocated Gorsuch to that vacancy on the Supreme Court

Bannon has the reputation for giving a platform to political extremists, misogynist and racists.

At the recent CPAC gathering (Conservative Political Action Committee) both Bannon and Priebus passed his nomination.

Only time will road Gorsuch will follow.

Hopefully Lady Justice will not be blinded by all the hoopla and hype.  —  gc

  1. I was surprised when President Obama’s choice was not accepted. That seemed entirely illegal.
