“Fake tears” replace cold indifference

“When you show deep empathy toward others, their defensive energy goes down, and positive energy replaces it. That’s when you can get more creative in solving problems.” –Stephen Covey

The newly elected president is rumored to be a deeply religious man driven by his love of God and deeply held Christian values.

He is a pro-life – anti-abortion person who abhors the outbreaks of violence that has presented itself on many of America’s streets and suburbs.

His statements and actions have shown him to be indifferent to the plight of his fellow-man as far as compassion, decency and fair play are concerned.

I wonder if this God-fearing, practicing christian has momentarily forgotten the meaning of the bible passage presented below.

Hopefully as his days in office increase his compassion and caring for the citizens of the world will also increase.

Only God knows what will happen.  —  gc

Corinthians Passage

“Put on then, as God’s chosen ones, holy and beloved, compassionate hearts, kindness, humility, meekness, and patience, bearing with one another and, if one has a complaint against another, forgiving each other; as the Lord has forgiven you, so you also must forgive. And above all these put on love, which binds everything together in perfect harmony.”

Quote of the week: "If you think of yourselves as helpless and ineffectual, it is certain that you will create a despotic government to be your master. The wise despot, therefore, maintains among his subjects a popular sense that they are helpless and ineffectual.-- Frank Herbert quotes .
