Climbing a wall to get some privacy

“The closing of a door can bring blessed privacy and comfort – the opening, terror. Conversely, the closing of a door can be a sad and final thing – the opening a wonderfully joyous moment.” — Andy Rooney

Ever have one of those days when people get to be too much and you suddenly find your “open door policy” a bit too much to handle? Well it happens to all of us. We then seek a private place to gather our thoughts and regroup our energy to face another day. The person in this photo was not actually seeking a quiet perch on a school’s rooftop. He and a friend were kicking a soccer ball around the vacant yard and the wind sent it flying onto the roof. He did successfully climb to the top, briefly view the area , retrieve the ball and return to his friend waiting on the ground. — gc
