The urge to pillage may be instinctual

“Way down deep, we’re all motivated by the same urges. Cats have the courage to live by them.” – Jim Davis

Have you ever felt an inexplicable need to lash out at something that just happened to be in your immediate vicinity. Kick a can in the street. Throw a rock at a picture window. Yank the heads off blooming flowers. There is no rhyme or reason for this action. It just makes you feel better. The person above kicked at the snowman that the father and daughter took time to assemble. The assailant looked at the structure then decided to lash out at it. Like painting a moustache on the Mona Lisa. It serves a purpose for them. — gc

  1. So mean. I hold my tongue whenever I get that urge.

  2. Not nice to destroy a snowman that a parent made with his daughter! Most of us control our feelings without lashing out. Great post!
