This is not Santa Claus’s magical sleigh

“They say it is better to be poor and happy than rich and miserable, but how about a compromise like moderately rich and just moody?” — Princess Diana

After two weeks of frigid arctic cold weather the temperatures finally decided to give everyone a break. It is an overcast Sunday morning a few minutes after 8 a.m. and as I looked out my bedroom window I noticed this caravan of shopping carts parked beside a nearby bottle depot. The owner of the metallic carts was nowhere to be seen and I wondered if maybe he/she had succumbed to the effects of the cold weather. Three hours later the cart is still without an owner. In the early morning light it resembled a mini covered wagon waiting for its owner to return. I wondered if Santa this year was slumming and ditched the sleigh and the reindeer for a more eco-friendly form of transportation. . —  gc

In case you were concerned about the safety and health of the person(s) who abandoned this cart here is a follow-up.

The two men above carted away the material a little after 2 p.m. this afternoon. They were the owners of the buggies. I have done a few articles on them and recognized them. Not the van.

Guess Santa brought them a van early this year.  —  gc

    • You are welcome Pat. I found it odd that the carts were left there so long unattended. I wondered if the owner had either abandoned them totally or became ill due to the extremely cold weather. Happily the two gentlemen shown in the photo update seemed fit and more then able to commandeer the items into their nearby van. Thank you for writing. You too have a wonderful week. 🙂
