Abide winter’s foul weather gracefully

“I wonder if the snow loves the trees and fields, that it kisses them so gently? And then it covers them up snug, you know, with a white quilt; and perhaps it says, “Go to sleep, darlings, till the summer comes again.” ― Lewis Carroll,

Mother Nature and her selection of seasons cannot be rushed or wished away. We must all abide by her choice of atmospheric conditions she sees fit to send our way. This at times is very frustrating for many of us. We wish the winter chills and snows would be over and done with quickly and the warm breezes of summer stay a while longer. I think that the Zen side of nature encourages us to perfect our patience with the ebb and flow of the life cycle. — gc
