Silent protest tends to raise eyebrows

When the spirits are low, when the day appears dark, when work becomes monotonous, when hope hardly seems worth having, just mount a bicycle and go out for a spin down the road.” —   ― Arthur Conan Doyle

I find it interesting how family members and friends-of-friends are able to constantly flaunt the rules and regulations that govern many apartment building and condominium residents lives. The folks above regularly ignore the many posted signs that prohibit them from parking their bicycles on the front railings. The signs are there to prevent people from getting injured. But this couple were visiting their sister who gave them permission to leave their cycles tethered there. Their silent protest leads to a cacophony of resident complaints. – gc

Quote of the week: "If you think of yourselves as helpless and ineffectual, it is certain that you will create a despotic government to be your master. The wise despot, therefore, maintains among his subjects a popular sense that they are helpless and ineffectual.-- Frank Herbert quotes .
