The work culture depends on teamwork

“People will typically be more enthusiastic where they feel a sense of belonging and see themselves as part of a community than they will in a workplace in which each person is left to his own devices”–  Alfie Kohn, Punished by Rewards

This two-man maintenance team works efficiently and effectively to tend to their sewer cleanup operation. There is no squabbling over who will do what. The lines of responsibility are less exact when working in larger corporations. A work culture transforms a person from being an individual into becoming a contributing member of a team. The job gets done. Everyone succeeds. — gc
