Mom waiting patiently for her children

“We must remember that a photograph can hold just as much as we put into it, and no one has ever approached the full possibilities of the medium.” — Ansel Adams

Every school day this mother waits patiently in her children’s school playground until the bell rings to announce that the afternoon session is over for the day. This was an overcast afternoon and she wore her hoodie, slacks and running shoes to keep herself warm. The helmet she wore to protect her  head from injury had been carefully placed on the bike’s handle bars and since she had time to kill she pulled out her cell phone and began texting. As the time for dismal approached she was joined by other parents who were meeting their own children in the now abandoned yard. —   gc

Quote of the week: “What is true is already so. Owning up to it doesn't make it worse. Not being open about it doesn't make it go away. And because it's true, it is what is there to be interacted with. Anything untrue isn't there to be lived. People can stand what is true, for they are already enduring it.” ― Eugene T. Gendlin, Focusing
