Social evolution or economic revolution?

“You never change things by fighting the existing reality. To change something, build a new model that makes the existing model obsolete.” ― R. Buckminster Fuller

The aftermath of the recent election in the United States have left hordes of people taking to the street and voicing their fears and rejection of the newly elected president Donald J. Trump. It is interesting that the Russian Revolution began in 1917 while the Trump Uprisings began in 2016. Are these merely lines of force or the shape of things to come? You decide. —  gc

  1. Social Evolution or Revolution? Marxist State or Democracy? Hum. America elects an president every four years. A president can be re-elected once. The recent political restructuring was a democratic election–the will of the people was realized, not through arms but by ballot.

On the other hand, the February Revolution overthrew an Imperial government. The interim government was overthrown by the Bolsheviks, led by Vladimir Lenin. There is no comparison between the American election and the Russian Revolution. For what it’s worth, while the media reports the Donald Trump victory as a ‘shock’ it wasn’t so shocking to those who understood the frustration of the majority of Americans with the current direction America has been taking during the current administration, and the previous one led by President Bush.

I would suggest that this isn’t an evolution, either, but an announcement that a majority of American’s desire a return to a more sane, conservative government that connects the administration of government with the people governed.

My two cents worth, as the saying goes.

Lord Bless, Keep, Shine. . .

  2. It is sad to see rioting.
