The inertly frustrating side of chaos

“All the most powerful emotions come from chaos -fear,anger,love- especially love. Love is chaos itself. Think about it! Love makes no sense. It shakes you up and spins you around. And then, eventually , it falls apart.” Kirsten Miller, The Eternal Ones

Street construction at its best is dirty, disruptive, invasive, frustrating and above all messy. The heavy machinery gobbles up once reliable roadway and in its place leaves broken manhole covers, rusted sewer grading and useless chunks of concrete and piping for pedestrians and motorists to deal with. This state of temporary confusion and inconvenience is replaced by the stability of new streets, enforced sewer systems and peace and quiet. Chaos thy name is construction!  —  gc

Quote of the week: “What is true is already so. Owning up to it doesn't make it worse. Not being open about it doesn't make it go away. And because it's true, it is what is there to be interacted with. Anything untrue isn't there to be lived. People can stand what is true, for they are already enduring it.” ― Eugene T. Gendlin, Focusing

  1. Hate it. Especially when I drive us to the beach

  2. And yet we must come to terms with it somehow. I am an eternal clutterer and it drives me nuts. I wrote about it in Ode to Chambermaids. I’ve decided to just own it 🙂
