This tune made a lasting impression

“When we die, we will turn into songs, and we will hear each other and remember each other.” ― Rob Sheffield, Love Is a Mix Tape

My father passed away when I was almost 10 years old. He died in July. It was a depressingly lonely time for me. During the warm summer nights I would climb a ladder and station myself on the slanted roof of our house, watch the stars, tune the radio to a Detroit Tiger baseball game and listen to all the great tunes coming out of Motown. Sometimes I would grab a telescope and watch the twinkling stars up close and personal. These are moments to remember and enjoy. — gc

Quote of the week: “What is true is already so. Owning up to it doesn't make it worse. Not being open about it doesn't make it go away. And because it's true, it is what is there to be interacted with. Anything untrue isn't there to be lived. People can stand what is true, for they are already enduring it.” ― Eugene T. Gendlin, Focusing
