Friends sharing a drink and chatting

“In the sweetness of friendship let there be laughter, and sharing of pleasures. For in the dew of little things the heart finds its morning and is refreshed.”  — Khalil Gibran

It is early Sunday morning. The sun is shining. A slight breeze fills the air waves. Two friends meet at the side entranceway to a bottle recycling plant. They set themselves down on the cold concrete step, open a small bottle of booze and begin their day. By the way it is 9 a.m. They slowly sip their drink from the bottle and exchange pleasantries. This is their time to share and compare notes about life. — gc

Quote of the week: “What is true is already so. Owning up to it doesn't make it worse. Not being open about it doesn't make it go away. And because it's true, it is what is there to be interacted with. Anything untrue isn't there to be lived. People can stand what is true, for they are already enduring it.” ― Eugene T. Gendlin, Focusing
