Enjoying the nostalgia of the moment

“The Greek word for “return” is nostos. Algos means “suffering.” So nostalgia is the suffering caused by an unappeased yearning to return.” ― Milan Kundera, Ignorance

Creative people are always begging their personal Muse to help them produce writings, paintings, poems or photographs that will help them to depict that magical sense of nostalgia they felt when they were totally in the moment. The creative juices started to flow and they were transported to a landscape filled with wide-open possibilities. This was the way I felt when I was on Saturna Island and carefully studied the above setting. This spot preserves memories from the past.  —  gc

Quote of the week: "If you think of yourselves as helpless and ineffectual, it is certain that you will create a despotic government to be your master. The wise despot, therefore, maintains among his subjects a popular sense that they are helpless and ineffectual.-- Frank Herbert quotes .
