Using a Walter Mitty approach to life

“Yes: I am a dreamer. For a dreamer is one who can only find his way by moonlight, and his punishment is that he sees the dawn before the rest of the world.” ― Oscar Wilde, The Critic as Artist

This is an article about pretending and pretentiousness…about being unhappy with yourself and wanting to walk a mile in another’s shoes and then being grateful they are not yours to wear every day. Have you ever passed by a construction site and were enamored by the powerful equipment the work crews handled so effortlessly. Dreaming the dream and experiencing the reality of it all is quite another story. Sometimes our overly active imaginations tend to gloss over the harsh realities others experience in their daily lives. But, it’s still fun to pretend! –  gc
