Perplexing disease disfigured trees

“Quiet minds cannot be perplexed or frightened but go on in fortune or misfortune at their own private pace, like a clock during a thunderstorm. ” — Robert Louis Stevenson

Even an island paradise can have its own share of unique problems. An unknown disease has attacked the arbutus tress there and transformed their stately branches into appendages whose bark is splotchy, peeling and weather worn. This situation has existed for a number of years on the islands in the area. Local residents are perplexed as to the reason why. The islands are still lovely spots to visit.  Biblically speaking ,even the Garden of Eden had its own internal problems.
