Manhole cover rings take a breather

“The earth together with its surrounding waters must in fact have such a shape as its shadow reveals, for it eclipses the moon with he arc of a perfect circle.”– Nicolaus Copernicus.

Street construction is a messy business. Sidewalks are dismantled. Boulevards are denuded of their green lawns. Streets are torn apart by the heaviest of road building equipment. It is fitting then that these three cement rings decided to rest on the shoulder of a quiet road on a sunny day and allow the sun’s light to pass between them both. This is an act of artistic imagination.

Quote of the week: “What is true is already so. Owning up to it doesn't make it worse. Not being open about it doesn't make it go away. And because it's true, it is what is there to be interacted with. Anything untrue isn't there to be lived. People can stand what is true, for they are already enduring it.” ― Eugene T. Gendlin, Focusing
