Scratching surface on sidewalk repair

“If things look right on the surface the underside is rarely questioned. However, things may be great in reality, but if one perceives them to be amiss, it is difficult to change that perception.” ― Aleatha Romig, Consequences

Sidewalk repair is expensive, labor intensive, weather dependent and time-consuming. Construction efforts involve many players each chipping in and contributing their efforts and skill to get the job done right and on time. Although many hands are involved in getting the wet cement placed on the ground between the wooden markers one man has the ultimate task of trawling it smoothly and blemish free.

Quote of the week: “What is true is already so. Owning up to it doesn't make it worse. Not being open about it doesn't make it go away. And because it's true, it is what is there to be interacted with. Anything untrue isn't there to be lived. People can stand what is true, for they are already enduring it.” ― Eugene T. Gendlin, Focusing
