Mom(entary) sanctuary from the sun

“So the first lesson about trusting your senses is: don’t. Just because you believe something to be true, just because you know it’s true, that doesn’t mean it is true.” ― David Eagleman, Incognito: The Secret Lives of the Brain.

Sometimes drastic action needs to be taken when the temperatures soar and the shopping cart  you are being chauffeured around in has no air conditioning. This little girl had been walking with her mom from the grocery store and was placed inside the basket just moments before she covered her head and enjoyed the temporary shade this provided her.

While her mother was out and about enjoying the fresh air and the warmth of the sun the little girl in this photo prove beyond the shadow of a doubt that she had enough .

Her mom was surprised and amused when the youngster placed the jacket over her head and then apparently began to enjoy the ride home a bit more comfortably.

Some sanctuaries are easier to construct that others.

Kudos to the little girl for making an executive decision for herself.

  1. Protection from the sun is needed during the heat wave. Keep cool.
