Pack up your trouble in an old kit bag

“You may encounter many defeats, but you must not be defeated. In fact, it may be necessary to encounter the defeats, so you can know who you are, what you can rise from, how you can still come out of it.”  ― Maya Angel

The guy in this photo might be labelled the poster boy for persistence and patience. He struggled with this load for over three hours on a sunny Sunday afternoon. His progress was slow but he was determined to get the show on the road.

Editorial Note:

This is the first in a series of photos depicting the valiant efforts this guy made on a sunny afternoon in an abandoned school yard.

It was the end of the month and I can only assume he was relocating to a new residence using a unique form of moving van.

His efforts need to be serialized to show you the many ways he struggled for more than three hours, by himself, on this particular uneventful Sunday afternoon.

I hope you enjoy the photos and the stories.

Quote of the week: “What is true is already so. Owning up to it doesn't make it worse. Not being open about it doesn't make it go away. And because it's true, it is what is there to be interacted with. Anything untrue isn't there to be lived. People can stand what is true, for they are already enduring it.” ― Eugene T. Gendlin, Focusing
